Calling all Middle School & Highschool Musicians!
The Youth Choir and Ensemble needs your talents for the 9 a.m. Mass. If you are a singer age 10 or older or if you play a woodwind or brass instrument and are interested in joining this amazing group, please contact Katherine Goudreau, our Youth Choir and Ensemble Director at: k.goudreau@cox.net Choir rehearses on Monday evenings at the church and ensemble rehearses on Tuesday evenings. We sing and play at the 9 a.m. Mass on Sundays. This is a great way to earn community service hours, make friends and really become part of the Mass celebration!
The last chance to sign up for this calendar year is Sunday, September 12th.
Your next chance is January, 2011.
The Book Club Is Back!
The St. Thomas Book Club is back and weekly meetings will resume on:

This Fall they will be reading:
“The Jesuit Guide to (Almost) Everything” A Spiritutality for Real Life by James Martin, SJ
The book is now available for $20.00 in the Parish Office before the first session.

Mom’s Prayer & Reading Group
Please join the Mom’s group for prayer and Bible study this Fall!
They will discuss the book: “Having a Mary Spirit” by Joanna Weaver
The group will meet on the following Wednesday evenings from 7pm-8:30pm in the Reading Room: Sept. 15, Oct. 6 & 20, Nov. 3 & 17, Dec. 1

The Knights of Columbus will be selling Entertainment Books beginning in mid-August. With these Entertainment Books you can save money with resturant coupons, discounts on shopping, attractions, travel and much more! They also make great gifts!
All Profits will be donated towards the formation of a seminarian in the Diocese of Arlington.

6:00pm-11:00pm – Middle & Highschool Mass followed by dinner under the tent and dancing in Findlay Hall with DJ Brian. -Tickets: $2.50
Saturday, September 25:
1:00pm – “Reaching the Heavens” talk and book signing with NASA Astronaut Tom Jones. No Tickets Needed.
2:30pm – Fun for Pre-K – Grade 6. (Games, Moon Bounce, Ice Cream)
6:00pm – Anniversary Mass (replacing 5:00pm Mass)
7:00pm – Dine under the tent & dance with DJ Sabra in Findlay Hall.
Tickets for Dinner: $15 in advance & $20 at the door.
Sunday, September 26:
Muffins, Juice, and Coffee following all Masses!

Information concerning Confirmation 2010 has been mailed out.
All Confirmandi should call to schedule an interview.
Confirmation is scheduled for Friday, October 8th, 2010 at 7:30pm.

Registration packets for the 2010-2011 Religious Education program, including forms and calendars have been e-mailed to each family. Please contact the Religious Education office at (703) 689-3816 if you have not received an email containing this information. Only those registered in the program this year have received an email. Registration forms are also available at the entryways to the Church, in the Religious Education Office and also on our website under Faith Formation and “Forms”.
All Classes are filling quickly! Please don’t delay your registration!
